Nha Trang beach is lined with coconut trees, palms, beach pines, and other tropical plants. Tourists lie under straw umbrellas, or have a drink at the nearby Sailing Club. The locals carry crabs and other seafood, peanuts, or tamarind in baskets with a pole along the beach, looking for customers. The leisurely ones sit on the benches, enjoying the scenery, watching the world go by. The sea is most busy with swimmers from 6-7am (when the locals take their daily swim before work), and again from 4-5pm (for people who are afraid of the sun!).
